WE SET OUR COURSE TO THE FUTURE
BASED ON LESSONS OF THE PAST
The History War Museum, the only three dimension museum in Greece, presenting battles from the main wars of the 20th century, was founded in 2018 in Laganas Zakynthos and is located within the courtyard of Galaxy Beach Resort Hotel, providing tourism with the prospect of its association, with social responsibility and historical remembrance.
It is a postmodern museum, where the visitor has the opportunity to “live” and “feel” the modern history, through authentic scene representations of real war setups, of the World War II, the Ko- rean War and the Vietnam War, which come to life right before him.
Ιn a totally natural environment, the setups present impressive war scenes, including the mo- ments of the preparation, the battle and the rest of the fighters, who wear authentic uniforms of the era, and are fully equipped with individual armament and field gears.
All of the setups are enhanced with authentic fully functional vehicles, that are equipped with heavy artillery, as well as rare devices – memorabilia of each war period, making an accurate documentation and representation of actual events, that determined the Greek and World History.
The Museum unfolds in three dimensions, the historical narrative of this significant period, by bringing the history to life for educational and broader study purposes.
It is a dynamic venue of active learning, that wishes to cultivate a piece friendly conscious to the visitors and especially the younger ages, who are entrusted with the obligation to establish a more peaceful world.
At the same time, a tribute is paid to our ancestor fighters, as well as an expression of respect for their sacrifices, so that we may set our course to the future, based on lessons of the past.
